Our Educators

Our staff are highly qualified and well trained. We employ qualified, experienced and caring educators, including university qualified Early Childhood Teachers, Diploma trained educators, and Certificate III trained educators and an onsite Cook.


We are excited and pleased to introduce you to the wonderful, passionate and committed educators who are working at Captain Bligh Early Learning Centre. Please take a moment to meet “Our Family!” We invited each of them to describe why they love working with children.





Director, Nominated Supervisor and Early Childhood Teacher


I have a Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education and more than 13 years experience in early childhood education and care with KU Children Services and Macquarie University. I believe in the importance of Early Childhood Education and value this time in a child’s life. I believe each day we have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives and education of the young children we teach. I love working with children, working with families and working with other educators.



Nominated Supervisor, Educational Leader, Early Childhood Teacher


I have Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care. I have fifthteen years' working experience in early childhood settings, working with a range of children, including children from Indigenous backgrounds and children with additional needs. I have a passion working with young children.I believe that all children should have access to quality early childhood education and care.


Certificate III Educator, Certified Supervisor


I've lived in the Hawkesbury area all my life. I've worked at Captain Bligh Early Learning Centre, full time, since year 2000. My belief is to respect all children, their feelings, experiences, and their cultural and linguistic diversity. I am passionate in creating a healthy, safe, creative and stimulating environment for children. I creatively strive to encourage learning through play, exploring, experimenting, asking and answering questions.


Diploma Educator, Certified Supervisor


I have worked in early childhood education and care since 2009. I have a Diploma of Children's Services and have worked in varying roles from preschool, before and after school and long day care. I enjoy working with children, giving them a loving, caring and safe environment to be surrounded in.

I've completed my Diploma. I am passionate and love the work that I do because I believe a happy childhood is what builds an individual’s characteristics and shapes them to become the best person they can possibly be in the future. As a childhood educator I can have a positive and loving influence on these early stages and inspire children to reach their potential and prepare them for their further education.



Studying Certificate III in Education and Care


I'm studying my certificate 3 in Education and Care services. My goal is to further my knowledge and implement it in my everyday practice. I'm a mother of two, which both of them have attended Captain Bligh in the past and have had positive experiences. My passion is about children and families. I like helping children grow and learning together, and building strong relationships with the children and also the families at Captain Bligh.


Qualified Cook


I have been working at Captain Bligh Early Learning Centre since 2010 in the role of Cook at the establishment. Before this I was working in other areas of hospitality. I have Cert III in Commercial Cookery & also both Cert IV TAA & TAE. I am passionate about providing an enjoyable & nutritious menu for the children while they are at Captain Bligh.



Inclusive Support Educator


I hold my certificate III in Children’s Services. I have been working with young children aged 0-6 for more than 5 years. My passion is to facilitate children’s learning, help them grow, develop and discover the world around them.
